The most important terms in the telegram app
Secret Chats
Smartphone users can use Telegram’s cloud-based Secrets Chats feature to swap messages with one other device without the threat of a middleman attack or them being deciphered by someone else, thus ensuring complete privacy. One device initiates the secret chat and the other device accepts it. In addition, you can set Secrets Chat messages to ‘self-destruct’ after a certain amount of time.
The feature uses ‘perfect forward secrecy’ and client-to-client encryption through MTPoro protocol to protect the communication. Perfect forward secrecy frequently changes the keys it uses to encrypt and decrypt information so that, if a key is compromised, only a tiny portion of data is exposed.
Polls
Telegram Messenger’s versatile Polls feature is available on Android, iOS, and desktop apps. It allows you to easily create and conduct polls within chat groups and channels. You can use Polls to set up activities or get opinions on whatever springs to mind, for example. Polls has the options of allowing multiple answers, a fun quiz mode, and visible or invisible voting.
Telescope
Telescope is Telegram’s video hosting platform. Via public channels, the platform supports sending videoclips to other users who, with one click, can download and play the videoclips. A videoclip can be up to one minute long. Because it is a public video message, the videos can also be viewed without having to open a Telegram account.
Social Login
Telegram’s Social Login feature is basically a gateway from Telegram to a supported external website. You can seamlessly log into one of your favorite websites, like Google and Facebook, from your Telegram account. Telegram’s embedded gateway login bot sends details of your Telegram ID, like your username and profile picture (but not your phone number!), to the website being accessed and the login widget authorizes your access.
